The Horror. The reaper’s thematic roots come from classic movie monsters and survival horror games. We pulled elements from slow but seemingly unstoppable horror monsters like Pyramid Head and Jason Voorhees to try to craft the feeling of a relentless pursuer who becomes extremely deadly once they close the distance to their prey.
Supposedly the Guardian magic tradition is a mix+evolution of Monk, Paragon and Spiritualist from the GW1 days. Monk definetly had religious tones, but Paragon was less magic and more martial / internal reserves and Spiritualist kinda explains itself. 2. Rahkeesh.
The Elementalist class is an entirely new class based on the Elementalist from the popular MMO Guild Wars 2 and its expansions. It uses similar mechanics to that of the Mystic Class. Elementalists. An Elf in elegant robes walks calmly through the forest not noticing that a rouge is aiming a crossbow right at them.
They probably will in one capacity or another. To be honest every class seems to have a decent mix of complicated and uncomplicated classes. There's the Ele Piano meme but Catalyst is far less crazy than other eles from what I'm hearing from friends (though they are bias'd). Besides Mirages are still insanely good and Chronos aren't half bad.
While you're right that there were no official informations about class change, the unofficial version is that, while it is a bit easier to make class change than race change (because with class you don;t have to deal with personal story issues), due to how both things are coded in the game, it's not all that much easier.
Hopefully, a new class of a Monk that can be a Staff based DPS or Heal spec suitable for Raids and Fractals Besides the above, it is much speculative that the Tengu is going to be the next new spec. Several players are excited about it, but it will be nice that instead of giving a Parrot shaped spec, the Devs can think of some more diverse
Hazzikostas also says that cross-faction guilds aren’t quite what the name implies (a guild is still tied to faction, but you can join guilds started in another faction) as the team is being conservative with cross-faction rollout.
Probably human. Traditional "mage-like" use of magic, borrowing power from Mists entities, mechanical similarities and references to human GW1 professions plus none of the other races have any better motivations. That is from a broader cultural perspective however, i.e. humans would naturally have a higher fraction of revenants in their general
There's almost 0 chances for new classes, since they release new elite specializations now. Some make professions feel like a completely new class, but that's the closest it'll get. The chances for a new race are also extremely small, unless the extra time the next expansion is taking is to make the personal story and for a new race. 17.
