The final version of Lucas electronic fuel injection was called "14CUX". 14CUX system were installed from 1990 through 1995 on engines with displacements of 3.9 and 4.2 liters. The 14CUX's immediate predecessor was called 14CU. This system was used on US-market 1989 Range Rovers with 3.9L engines. Lubricate the new O-rings with a small amount of clean engine oil and install the new fuel injector by reversing the removal procedure. Use a torque wrench to tighten the fuel rail mounting bolts in two stages. First, torque the bolts to between 84 and 96 inch pounds and then torque them to between 15 and 20 foot pounds. Again an injector has been unecessarily changed !!!. What I would do now is take the rocker cover off, and with the help of a friend, disconnect each injector in turn whilst holding down the rocker cover. This will tell you if its the injector/wiring.
