Do some research on specific products to see what working with them is like, and when you have something you think will work, test it on an unwanted part or extra sprue before going whole hog on your entire army. Pick up any and all bits you want gold with Retributor armour + Agrax. Black, some grey knight weapons are painted black, so you'll need Abaddon Black as a base, and Dawnstone as an edge highlight.
