I have a 2007 Citroen Picasso 1.6 Hdi. It starts immediately on the key and will run all day but the idle is rough and the car has reduced power until the revs get up, at which point it takes off like a rocket! I have replaced the turbo, it also has a recent EGR.
Of course Citroen were planning for it, all new cars requiring type approval from 1st September 2014 were euro 6 and all cars type approved before this date we’re required to meet the standard on 1st September 2015, Citroen implemented the blue HDi engines over the summer of 2015.
As a midi-MPV the Picasso's driving appeal was always going to be limited, after all, this is a vehicle designed to transport people and things rather than set the pulse racing. That said, the torque and power of the 1.6-litre HDi engine and the Citroen's fairly surefooted stance help to make the driving experience at least a little entertaining.

The 2.0 HDi (DW10) has taken up the mantle left by the old 1.9 XUD9 ie, look after it even half properly and it'll go on forever. Not sure on the 1.6, but I've seen and driven, umm, lots of 2.0
