The smart move would be to ride up to Klet' on the chairlift and to hike down all the way to Český Krumlov. Just keep in mind that the chairlift comes from the opposite direction, and it's only half the way up - to get to the lower station, it's a nice hike across the countryside, too (from Holubov which is more or less halfway between Budějovice and Krumlov by train).
